We are currently working with the IRS to get the CCCP recognized as a 501 (c) 3 charitable association and hope to have this in place by the end of 2010, if not sooner.  Wish me luck  AS SUCH......everything you read below is out dated but the cues are still available, the monies generated from same, to go to The CCCP to support amateur billiard education rather than the USBA.  IN NO WAY does this mean that the CCCP is not supportive of the USBA....in fact would like to become a member of the USBA, The CCCP would, if they would just tell us a price.  Hello Bruce !!!

So at any rate, I have a few cues for sale that I have had donated to me and are in hand.  YOU WILL NOTE THAT TWO COME FROM FRIENDS IN RUSSIA, and play quite well, thank you Dandy Andy.   I am in no hurry to sell these cues because I will get no money from them, money only going to CCCP.   The story of these cues.  Right now I am only holding them in bonded storage until 501 (C)3 happens for the CCCP.  Once that occurs then I will transfers these cues back to CARL.

USBA CUES

I have been elected to the presidency of the USBA and as I have no money to give like many past presidents, only cues, I have prevailed upon my fellow cue builders to make a carom cue and donate it to the cause.  So far 27 of them have risen to the challenge and the cues are starting to dribble in.  These will be all one of a kind cues made by pool cue makers.  These cues are their first attempt at a carom cue and probably their last.  I know they will be collectable.   Every one I get in I will play with and test.  So far all that I have been sent to me  have passed with flying colors.  Here are the cues that I have on hand right now.

While these cues have been donated to me personally, all monies raised from their sale will go to the USBA, none to me.  These fund will be used to promote jr and women's tournaments, live streaming of caroms, and to help bring carom tables to large pool events.  Right now it looks like there will be a carom table at the next Hopkins SBE  [10-13 MAR 2011],  thanks to the generosity of Allen in donating the space for the USBA to have one there.  Still this will cost the USBA mucho dineros to do this thing, especially to bring in the champions we want to help showcase the game as well as do live streaming of this event.

So buy one of these cues and support the USBA.

This cue was made by Triple Cross Cues and has a retail value of $800.  The handle wood is a very nice piece of  black spotted Myrtle from the NW USA. Thank you Tom

This cue was made by Vasilios Cues and has a retail value of  $1800.  Note the inlays at the rear that say  3 C as well as the fact the front is a full splice but with only three points.  The joint is G-10, a very good hitting material and there is also a G-10 insert in the shafts.  You will never see a cue like this again.  Thank you Bill

Last but not least a Dieckman that I have been playing with since the Detroit Tigers did so well in baseball a few years ago.  It has two shafts with a Maloney/Mazin taper on them.  The cue's high run is only 9 and its retail value is $1500.

STAY TUNED THERE WILL BE MANY MORE CUES TO COME, ALL CUSTOM MADE TO STANDARD CAROM SPECS AND ALL ONE OF A KIND.

SINCE THOSE WORDS ABOVE WERE WRITTEN MANY THINGS HAVE TRANSPIRED, first and foremost I am no longer the President USBA having resigned May 18th, 2010.  My membership will lapse in Dec of  2010 and I believe I will let it do just that.
BUT we are still working for CAROM's.
Mark MAR 9-14, 2011 on your calendar as a time to be in Philly, you might even find a sandwich.

We have established a CARL CONLON CAROM PROJECT [CCCP]  and as of July 1, 2010 it has $200 in the bank and five cues for sale, the ones you see pictured here.
The money will be used wisely.  So keep sending those cues.  Your money will not go to the USBA, but it will go toward caroms.

SO HERE ARE SOME CUES FROM MY FRIEND ANDREY GORBENKO, sent all the way from Russia [former CCCP] for current CCCP.
